UPDATE: Click here for VIFA 2016 Vietnam International Furniture Fair 2016

Many buyers and other furniture professionals will be flying into Vietnam next month to visit the VIFA furniture fair.

With current dollar / euro exchange rates, most definitely there is less of a competitive advantage for Vietnam furniture producers in regards to European furniture factories (South and Eastern-Europe) but let’s hope that overall attractiveness for furniture made in Vietnam continues to grow.

After discussing with some factory owners the cost of exhibiting within the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), it is not a surprise that some have elected to set-up a showroom and exhibition space around 500 meters from the official location. We visited the “adjacent” space of our friend Michael, whose factory mainly exports to the German market.

The VIFA furniture fair will be running from the 11th to the 14th of March 2015.

Please note that most of the most important or definitely our favorite furniture producers and factories do not exhibit at VIFA fair and they choose rather to exhibit at the Singapore or Cologne furniture fairs.
